Ski Ride Tours

Ski Ride Tours is a destination powder skiing company, leading trips all over the world with the goal to ensure great conditions on every ski trip.

Working with the owner, I led and executed a rebrand that involved a logo change and website rebuild, with an omnichannel marketing campaign to follow.

This brand was underdeveloped, and what had been developed many years ago had not aged well in the culture that skiing and snowboarding has grown to today. The trips Ski Ride Tours offers are luxury, coming at a high price point and they involve a lot of trust from the customer. Those who book "Powder Hunt" trips don't know where they are even going until three days prior to departure. This means the brand needs utmost authenticity and consistency in its presence.

I initially pitched changing the name of the brand and creating a new logo surrounding that while we had the chance. I felt "Ski Ride Tours" didn't strike the target audience well. To ensure I was on track with that hunch, I surveyed 40 skiers/snowboarders and 10 friends in my marketing network. I asked questions surrounding "what do you think Ski Ride Tours offers?", "Do you feel this is a strong name for the product?", etc. An overwhelming response supporting my hunch followed.

 

I designed 50+ logos and 10+ names. We eventually landed on a new name. However, the owners ultimately decided to keep Ski Ride Tours, and they hired an outside graphic designer to develop the new logo, as seen to the right. 

I executed all website design, copywriting, social media management, and PPC advertising. About half of the photography and all of the drone videography is content I created.

This was a quick project. We did not begin execution until a month before winter. I executed my project roles in about two weeks. With lead times outside of the range that we were able to catch within the start of marketing initiatives, we will see the results in full next winter.

+3,330% increase in website sessions

+609,500% increase in reach (0 reach prior to my social initiatives. Social was "active" without consistency and strategy = not reaching new people.
